I really can't stand it when people don't like me, let alone when they hate me. As some of you know, I have an old ex-girlfriend that things did not end well with that came to college this year. She's in AniSci and a freshman, while I'm a business junior, so we're on opposite sides of campus and I'm done with all the common classes she'll be taking. We're likely to never see one another, but it still bothers me that she hates me so much, to the point that she's blocked my from commenting on LJ and FA, when the last comments I made were trying to help her with a problem she was having with her computer.
It's not like I'm after getting back together with her. I'm happy with Jessie. Not that I wouldn't mind having some more furry friends, or friends in general (I'm too shy), in this town. I haven't been able to get down to the city, either of them, to see my friends in months thanks to my job scheduling me every single weekend. I would've made it to Warnn's birthday if not for how tired I generally am, I just couldn't handle a long drive by myself.
I wish things were different. If only I could just forget.
Edit: I decided to send her a message on facebook (actually I sent it before writing this). Got an okay response, and I feel quite a bit better now. At the least I hope she understands I bear her no ill will.

We have a ferret now. Paid $100 for her with a small temporary cage, some litter, some food, and a few odds and ends. She was my cousin's ferret, but my cousin's a teenager and the novelty wore off rather quick. She has a much better home now, though we did end up rushing things a bit more than we'd anticipated. (I can hear here snackin behind me). Putting her on a blend of Innova Evo Ferret and Marshall's Premium until we've weened her off of Marshall's food and substitute either Innova feline or either Zupreem or 8-in-1 ultimate. She is a Marshall's, but I bet most we'd find anywhere are. We got her a fair number of little toys and a pin so she can play on the floor (especially while she still has such a small cage) without our, as close, supervision.
EDIT: We decided to name her Sabriel. (Not that she's likely to learn it)

Me and Jess are looking into getting a ferret. Going tomorrow to ask if we can even have one in my apartment, which thankfully does allow pets, and to see how much the deposit is. We went earlier and played with two of the ferrets they have at Petco earlier, a sable and an albino. They were both adorable, though I preferred the sable's behavior. But we're planning on going to a nicer shop in OKC or Tulsa anyway.. Any suggestions? (Does Darzi have me friended? *Makes note to check*) We're also waiting until at least a few weeks into this next semester so we know our schedules and if we'll have time, if not we'll wait til the summer. So it'll either be about a month or 5ish months before we have a new fuzzy in the house to take care of. I can't wait! ^^
Confirmed! We can have a ferret in the apartment, just signed a pet policy form, and they didn't even make us pay a deposit! (Which is normally $300 for a cat or dog under 25 lbs, or $500 for a larger dog up to 85 lbs or under a year old)

I just went to get an M tacked onto my license. Finished the written yesterday morning, then I went and, with Wade, bought a 2008 Susuki S40, which I rode around a fair amount to get comfortable with it. Then this morning, I called all over (including the DMV about 20 times) to make an appointment for my skills test and to get my insurance card. I rode by the OSU Police Department/Parking Services and got my parking tag, then hopped over to the DMV for the skills test, which took 10 minutes and was sooo much easier than the driving test I took almost 5 years ago. Wasn't so nervous now that I've been out on the road alone for so long and I got in the practice yesterday. Well, I passed, so I stopped at my bank on the way to the Tag Office, which is right by my house, and I got my new, improved, motorcycle-riding-legalizing license. ^^
Now just to remember to have 10 bucks to go get my license again on the 16th. Woo, 21!

From what I've seen, this is very odd to brew. I'm interested in gruit, but considering I couldn't find anything that most the recipes I've seen have, I went with just vanilla in addition to fermentables. Here's the entire ingredient list:
1 lb. 60L Crystal
cap Pure vanilla extract
3.3 lb can Coopers Light Liquid Malt Extract
3.3 lb can Coopers Amber Liquid Malt Extract
1 lb. Dry Malt Extract
1 lb. Raw Honey (Sapulpa, OK)
1 Vanilla Bean
1 oz Irish Moss
Packet Windsor (Dry) Brewing Yeast

I just finished attempting to brew my first batch. I got through to the end of the boil just fine (plenty of headspace, so I watched Over the Hedge to pass the time). But then I ran into tons of problems.
First, my immersion cooler wouldn't submerge much at all, so I ended up pouring the wort into my fermenter and dunked it in there and used tap water (we have good clean pipes and the book said it was fine, hope it was right) to fill to the full 5 gallons. But just as I started the cooling my yeast (which was ready to toss in) got poured in and I'm hoping the heat wasn't too much for it. I managed to get it down to just under 80F when all was said and done. Remembering that bacteria does best at 90-140 I called it okay enough and sat it on my garage floor til tomorrow morning to bring it down to the low 70s. Before I came back to my room, there were a very slow formation of bubbles on the airlock walls.
It all got very hectic and I'm horribly worried that I completely screwed the batch, although my cooler was sanitized and had had hot water ran through it for about 5 minutes earlier when I was filling the fermenter with sanitizer and wasn't unhooked since then, though I did purge the hot with cool water. Our water tastes fine and has no noticable cholorine flavor.
So how badly did it go for my first time? Is it likely to turn out okay as is, or will I probably have to pitch more yeast, or worse toss it and try again?

Well, I got back into WoW maybe about a month ago, and I got Jess into it too. Looking for even more ways we can interact while she's at Disney. On that note, she's gone now, left on Wednesday. But as my money's looking, I might just be able to come and see her about once a month, which will make these next 7 months a hell of a lot easier to bear. No one worry about us though, I know we'll be just fine the whole time, if just a bit lonely. They do say absence makes the heart grow fonder. The few days before she left were really hard, because I and her family were sick, so I didn't get to see her quite as much as I'd hoped, but we did spend about all of Monday and a fair bit of Tuesday together.
If anyone's curious, my characters are Telain, Kythos, and Yurei on the Firetree server, alliance side. They are a 61 hunter, 20 mage (mostly for crafting for now), and 14 rouge (collector and primary alt) respectively.
